Curatorial note

From across the room it is a ribbon. One sweep of red, turning back on itself. Come closer. It is not one stroke. It is thousands of small ones, laid side by side. None of them is brave on its own. Each is only the next one. That is how it is made. Not in a single act of courage. In days. A scan. A waiting room. A morning you got up anyway. The red crosses the yellow, then turns back to cross it again. It never goes only once. Anyone who has been through it knows. Where it passes, the yellow turns orange. Life does not stop. It changes colour and goes on. Look at the colours. Most of them are someone’s ribbon. For those still fighting, those who carried them, and those we carry now.
